Oats have been doing sensible things for British breakfasts for centuries. Beta heart concentrates that idea into a vanilla powder built around OatWell oat beta-glucan.
About
Two scoops provide 3 g of oat beta-glucans and 6 g of fibre. Beta-glucans contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of beta-glucans from oats, which is exactly two scoops.
It is sugar free, a source of protein and suitable for vegetarians. Stir it into water or juice, or add it to a shake. Browse more in vitamins and supplements.
How to use
- Shake the tub. Give it a gentle shake before scooping.
- Scoop. Mix one or two scoops into water, fruit juice or a Formula 1 shake, once a day.
- Count to 3 g. Two scoops a day gives the 3 g of beta-glucans linked to the claim.
If you take medicine for cholesterol, tell your GP or pharmacist before adding it. Store with the lid closed, cool and dry.

Frequently asked questions
What is oat beta-glucan?
A soluble fibre found in oats. Beta heart uses a concentrated oat ingredient called OatWell.
Why does the dose matter?
The authorised claim depends on 3 g of oat beta-glucans a day. One scoop gives half that.
Is Beta heart a medicine?
No. It is a food. It does not replace anything your doctor has prescribed.
Can I add it to porridge?
Herbalife suggests water, juice or a Formula 1 shake. In porridge you would count oat fibre twice, which is no bad thing, but the label figures would not apply.
Is it suitable for coeliacs?
It may contain wheat, rye and barley, and it contains oat. Speak to your dietitian before using it.
