A carbohydrate and electrolyte drink for training that lasts long enough to make you sweat properly. Developed by Herbalife24 with Cristiano Ronaldo, in a 20-serving tub for regular sessions.

About

CR7 Drive mixes dextrose, sugar, maltodextrin and isomaltulose with sodium, potassium and magnesium citrates. It uses no artificial sweeteners, and the colour comes from anthocyanins.

Carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions contribute to the maintenance of endurance performance during prolonged exercise, and they enhance water absorption during exercise. Thiamin and vitamin B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism.

It is Informed Sport certified, meaning batches are tested for banned substances. That matters if you compete under anti-doping rules.

How to use

  1. Settle. Shake the canister gently before opening.
  2. Measure. Two scoops (27 g) into a 500 ml bottle of water.
  3. Shake hard. Until fully dissolved.
  4. Sip during exercise. It is designed for use while you train, not with dinner.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth using for a 30-minute gym session?

Probably not. The authorised benefit relates to prolonged exercise. For short sessions, water usually does the job.

Why is there sugar in a sports drink?

The carbohydrates are the point. They fuel longer efforts, which is why it is not a drink for sitting at a desk.

Tub or sachets: which suits me?

The tub suits people who train several times a week from home. Sachets suit kit bags and away games.

What does Informed Sport certified mean?

A sample from each batch has been screened for substances on anti-doping lists by an independent laboratory.

Can children drink it?

It is designed for adult athletes. Speak to a GP or sports dietitian before giving it to a young player.
