Pea, rice, quinoa and flaxseed walk into a pouch. The result is Tri Blend Select in Coffee Caramel, a vegan protein shake with 20 g of protein and 6 g of fibre per serving.

About

Plant proteins each have gaps in their amino acid profile. Adding rice protein to pea protein fills those gaps, so Tri Blend Select delivers a complete protein. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass.

It is low in sugar, with no artificial colours or flavours, and it drinks well at any time of day. Prefer banana? Switch using the flavour selector. Compare it with the rest of our protein powders.

How to use

  1. Shake the pouch. Contents settle, so give it a gentle shake first.
  2. Scoop. Add three scoops (40 g) to 250 ml of water, a plant milk or fruit juice.
  3. Adjust. Add more or less liquid until the texture suits you.

Nutrition figures below apply to water. Juice or plant milk will change them. Reseal the pouch and keep it cool and dry.

Frequently asked questions

Does Coffee Caramel contain caffeine?

The ingredient list names no coffee and no caffeine. The flavour comes from natural flavourings, so it works as an evening shake too.

Why is rice protein in a pea protein shake?

Pea protein runs low in one amino acid that rice supplies. Together they make a complete protein, which is the point of the blend.

Is it gluten free?

It uses gluten-free oat fibre, but oat is still declared as an allergen. If you avoid oats for coeliac reasons, check with your dietitian.

Is it a meal replacement?

No. It is a protein shake, not a nutritionally complete meal. For a meal replacement, look at Formula 1.

Can I mix it with oat milk?

Yes. Any plant milk works, but the calories and sugars will rise above the water-based figures shown here.
